Asphalt for every class of road
Hot mix asphalt (HMA) is the standard surfacing for South African roads. It is a blend of graded aggregate and bitumen, mixed and laid hot, then compacted into a dense, durable layer. The right mix depends on traffic, layer thickness and the surface you need.

Supply, paving and compaction in one team
Asphalt quality is decided on the day it is laid. We deliver the mix with our own haulage fleet, then pave and compact it with our own crews and plant. Before paving, our bitumen distributors apply the tack coat or prime so the new layer bonds properly.
Where the existing road is failing underneath, we mill and recycle the base first through our soil stabilising and base recycling service. Paving over a weak base only hides the problem for a while.

Hot Mix Asphalt: common questions
Do you supply hot mix asphalt only, or also lay it?
Both. We can supply asphalt to your site or handle the full job: surface preparation, tack coat, paving and compaction.
How long does an asphalt road last?
It depends on traffic, the base underneath and the layer thickness. A properly prepared base and good compaction make the biggest difference, which is why we assess the base before paving.
Can you resurface an existing road?
Yes. We mill the old surface where needed, repair the base, apply a tack coat and pave a new asphalt layer.
Where do you supply asphalt?
We supply across Johannesburg, Midrand and the rest of Gauteng, and take on projects further afield in South Africa.
